What We Do

Self Esteem

Low Self Esteem, perfectionism and self doubt can paralise you, stop you from making changes and keep you stuck with unhealthy habits where you are unable to prioritise yourself. Therapy helps break down old patterns and learn self love.

Menopause

Unexpected changes to your body, mood, hormones, increased levels of anxiety and depression. Not feeling like yourself or able to cope with ‘normal’ life. Hormonal changes and changes to our roles and identity. This can be very stressful and frightening time and talking about it, understanding it and  learning strategies can help.

Stress

Stress and burn out are common difficulties. Feeling of being under a lot of emotional or mental pressure. Pressure turns into stress when we feel like we can’t cope. Having space to break down stress factors, identify own reactions and learn practical strategies to combat stress.

Insomnia

Sleep difficulties, inability to fall asleep, stay asleep, waking up early, worrying about sleeping. Sleep is closely connected to your wellbeing and mental health. CBTi is an effective programme helping to re-set your sleep patterns and identifying habits that maintain the problem.

Motivation

Motivation, especially when you are feeling low or down is very difficult to achieve. It can be hard to start doing things you stopped. Learning strategies to trick your mind into collaborating helps you to gradually build your activity levels and boost your mood and motivation.

Anxiety & Phobias

Feeling of dread, unease, worries or fear. Some levels of anxiety are helpful and motivating, while other times anxiety overwhelms us and stops us from living fully.
Phobias can have a huge impact on our lives especially when you start avoiding certain places or activities.

Andy

Age 27

It was helpful not having someone to agree with you. My therapist would present a different interpretation to make me think, actively challenging me with kindness and empathy at the same time. CBT is an active process and this was very helpful.

Zainab

Therapy with Monika has been a fantastic experience and it really really helped me.
