Why wellbeing and therapy?

The reason behind this website is to bring therapy closer to a regular person, who might be suffering some mental health difficulties without realising it. Away from labels and stigma. We are all facing challenges on a daily basis and we have healthy and less healthy ways of dealing with them.

There are plenty of ways you can change your thinking, your negative habits, change what you want to change in your life without drastic measures. All you need is curiosity, open mind, a hint of motivation and some discipline to keep trying – a recipe for a happier mind. 🙂

I hope you will find here plenty of exercises, ideas and suggestions enabling you to make changes, to start implementing ideas and make a real difference to your wellbeing and emotional health.

I will also be talking about importance of balance, rest, nutrition – all those ingredients are necessary for you to feel your best, to build your resilience and provide right fuel and support for your mind.

Anxiety

Feeling of dread, unease, worries or fear. Some levels of anxiety are helpful and motivating,  while other times anxiety overwhelms us and stops us from living fully.

Phobias

Extreme or irrational fear or aversion to something. Phobias can have a huge impact on our lives especially when you start avoiding certain places, activities.

Stress

Feeling of being under a lot of emotional or mental pressure. Pressure turns into stress when we feel like we can’t cope. Stress is linked to mental health issues.

Insomnia

Sleep difficulties, inability to fall asleep, stay asleep, waking up early, worrying about sleeping. Sleep is closely connected to your wellbeing and mental health.

Motivation

Motivation, especially when you are feeling low or down is very difficult to achieve. You can kick start motivation when you are disciplined and/ or open to try.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing is about quality of life, good physical and mental health. It’s skills and knowledge on what you need to thrive and keep well. It’s a state of contentment.
